Introducing Diacon II to our line of products. It contains an insect growth regulator (IGR) called methoprene. Methoprene is a mimic of hormones in the insect that interfere with the process of molting from larva to pupa or pupa to adult. It is not a nerve toxin or poison that affects organisms other than insects.
Effective
Diacon II is extremely effective against the stored product insect spectrum:
Indian Meal Moth, Almond Moth, Flour Beetles, Lesser Grain Borer, Saw-tooth
Grain Beetle and others. Residual control can extend to 2 years!
Residual Component of a Program
Start clean. Fumigate or use other insecticides to control adult insects or
heavy existing infestations. Diacon II will help prevent re-infestation.
Versatile
Grain-Diacon II can be applied directly to wheat, corn, milo, barley, rice,
oats, peanuts & birdseed. Treat grain streams at bin filling or turning,
or grain surfaces and bin head spaces. Empty bins, grain storage warehouses
and surfaces throughout a grain storage facility can also be treated.
Applications-Applications can be made with a handheld sprayer, fogger, or in
conjunction with dust control oil systems. Diacon II can be tank mixed with
residual or fogging insecticides.
Economical
Diacon II is very affordable for your grain management program! Empty bin, top
dress, and surface treatments can be made for a bout 15 cents per 1,000 square
feet of surface area. 1 liter of Diacon II can make 1,000 gallons of finished
solution! Cost for treating grain streams is similar to Reldan or other
similar products.
