Food
Industry Sanitation Auditors (FISA)
This separate division of IFC offers a distinctly different and specialized
food plant auditing service. FISA professionals have each had supervisory
responsibility for sanitation and/or quality assurance within the food industry.
Academic background, training and experience equips them to deal practically
with any phase of a total quality systems audit in food processing, storage
or distribution operation. The FISA program is tailored to fit the individual
needs and specific management requirements for each facility contracted for
audit. We can provide partial or in-depth auditing of environmental health
and safety systems and procedures.
Training & Continuing Education
FISA Seminars are held for professional training in Good Manufacturing Practice
Regulations, Pest Prevention and Control, Pesticide Usage, Pesticide Applicator
Recertification and the laws and regulations under which the food industry
must operate. We also provide technical training on specific sanitation and
pest control procedures and equipment. This "how to" instruction includes
proper handling and application of pesticides and is designed to meet the
inhouse needs of the company requesting this training.
Sanitation Consulting
An organized and effectively managed sanitation program is essential for every
food plant. FISA consultation service can assist in establishing a program
that will deliver effective and efficient results. This can include review
of plans and specifications for sanitary design, frequency and method for
cleaning various types of equipment and surfaces, scheduling sanitation labor
and pest prevention and exclusion techniques. The management organization
for sanitation is critical to its success and consistent with Integrated Pest
Management (IPM) practices. (top)
